Sarah Pink

Category of work:

Ceramics

Describe your work in one sentence:

I make ceramics and digital and collage portraits of people and pets.

Why do you do it?

I don’t know but there’s something about a lump of clay that’s very appealing…

What keeps you going (what’s your GRIT)?

I keep going because being creative makes me feel good. It adds a big feeling of well-being to my life.

What advice would you give to somebody wanting to become a ‘creative’?

Just make a start, don’t worry about what you do, just give it a go then you have something to work with.

Tell us something unusual about yourself.

Whilst pursuing a love interest in New York ( a disaster!) I ended up making props for the Barber of Seville for Vancouver Opera in Canada.
