Mosaic making and architectural mosaic restoration

Describe your work in one sentence:

I make work to commission, collaborate with other creatives and facilitate art and design learning opportunities in community settings.

Why do you do it?

It’s a compulsion and it’s how I earn a living

What keeps you going (what’s your GRIT)?

What keeps me going is my own enthusiasm, the joy and pain of the creative process, the satisfaction of problem-solving and the inspiration I find all around me. The requirement to meet a set deadline is also a key motivator, of course.

What advice would you give to somebody wanting to become a ‘creative’?

Research and try out as many types of creative practice as you can to discover what most floats your boat and then work hard to develop your skills  and experience.

Tell us something unusual about yourself?

I can’t say the word ‘fifth’ properly
